I was just wondering if golden tee 2000 (and newer) can be put on a mame or I see that earlier versions have a rom. And what about some of the newer style arcade games like starwars
-
The new/popular games are intentionally left out of Mame to avoid copyright lawsuits.
There are a number of threads about it, including one that I started a month or so ago in the 'everything else forum.'

OK seriously, if you had even MILDLY SKIMMED any of the message boards here, you would have seen about 7 threads in the past week asking the same question.
Trust me, I'm a person who is almost NEVER bothered by newbies asking questions that've been asked before, but this golden tee question has been popping up threads NON STOP for the past 2 weeks, and it's getting a bit annoying.
PLEASE at least SKIM the forums, or use the search feature (that was built in for a reason, I might add) before asking a question. You'll find that 70% of the time the question has been asked, VERY recently.

can we put a sticky with the title:
"NO GOLDEN TEE 3DGOLF, 97, 98, 99, 2000, Classic, Fore! , (2002, 2003, 2004, 2005) ARE NOT EMULATED IN MAME AND WON'T BE FOR A LONG TIME!!! @!$@#$"
in every forum or something?! :-D

damn dude, chill. take a deep breath. how bout you dont click on the post if you dont want to read it. i know its a revelation, but i mean seriously, if its a stupid post and nobody wants to answer it, then it will be on the second page in like a day. its not like its being asked 8 times a day anyway. so calm down, and let the newbies ask their questions, its the only way people learn. mame is not obvious to everyone. go to a surgeon forum and ask how to remove certain kinds of tissue...im sure youll get a post like "newbie!!! what a tool!! go back to school you retard." not everybody is a nerd/dork...or at least not yet ;D

Due to the fact these game are still makign money, and plenty of it, you won;t see them in mame too much. Especially since 2k through now use the same hardware, just just a rom swap to switch them.

thats all it does is swap the rom out?!?! geez. they can make a crap load of money just doing that. and no one would ever know! except for people like you...and now me ;D

From an emulation point of view. It's be the same driver for hte most part. Just tweaking the specific roms per version as they all run ont he same hardware.

For your added enjoyment:
