Title: Monitor gets blurry
Post by: tw661 on May 04, 2004, 07:38:16 am
I have a Wells Gardner arcade monitor with WinXP.  After a little while the monitor gets blurry in WinXP or in the Mamewah front-end and just a little in the games.  Is this my refresh rate?  I put it as low as I could in the windows properties (60hz).  Also I'm using Arcade VGA.

Thanks for youre help.

I am by no means an expert, but check the brightness if that doesn't help you may have a bad picture tube.  Advice told to me by WG tech over the phone. I'm now exchanging mine for a new one

What model is the monitor?

When making any adjustments to a monitor of any type, it's alway a good idea to let the monitor warm up and stabilize at least 10 minutes before performing any adjustments. Could be something as simple as tweaking the brightness/contrast/screen/focus controls.

If you have a K7000 monitor and you get a big drift in focus you probably have a failing flyback transformer.
