Title: Need info about Nyko trackballs!
Post by: Harakiri on May 03, 2004, 03:45:33 pm
Hi people! I went to the mall today and bought this trackball for 2,50 euros +/- 2,50 american dollars!

I'm thinking about buying a adaptor to play trackball games in mame, will it work? If not, i'm gonna hack it for sure.

Bye for now!  :)

I've killed two of those EXACT same things. Your best bet is to just keep it for your PSX. They're impossible to hack for anything outside a mess.

I hacked one of those for a PSX Tempest X spinner (works very nice). They are pretty bad as far as trakballs go, slow like a PC trakball and the ball is too small. An old Atari 2600 trakball would work much better if you can find one. As for adapters, I doubt any PSX adapter is compatible with the PSX mouse/trakball input.

Oh god!

As i can see, i can hack this thing...
It has a lousy grip i agree! I was prettending to oil the trackball to make it slick and use with a adapter for my PC! I already saw ones for PSX pads around!  ;D

I really don't know what i'm gonna do with this right now, maybe i'm gonna borrow my girlfriends PSX and play some games with it! Any sugestion for a good PSX game "trackball" compatible!?

The main reason why i bought this, was due to be a real bargain! :)

I can't find a decent trackball seller in my country and they're are pretty few in europe! If i wanted one i would probably order from Happs in England.

Well, thanks for the answers though! I wish you better luck than mine in your searches!  :)
