So I just got this trackball... it has a USB connection and six pins. Not to sure how the pins work. Is it three buttons using 2 pins each or 5 buttons using one ground and 1 pin for each button? Any help would be appreciated.

anybody? should I post a picture?

I don't know what they are gearing their trackballs too... $400 on their website for a 2" trackball... you didn't buy that did you (for that much?)
why are they better?
Anyway, I don't know the interface... but it looks like it is VERY specific for specific hardware... So you might want to ask them directly.
btw... for a new 3" trackball for a cabinet.. money no options... best case would be about 150bucks new for the best of everything...

I accepted the trackball as payment for a logo design I did, so I didn't buy it... :) It is nice because is has a small footprint, i.e., it can be installed in a limited amount of space... for use in a mini-cab or a table top cabinet.

Here is a picture... notice the six pins next to the USB connector.

Unless you have a manual or can get information from the supplier/manufacturer you'll have to open it up and trace the wires to see what they are.
If I had to guess, I'd say the six connections are for 3 buttons, 2 wires each.

Yeah, that's what it is... I decided to test it, ran leads off each pin and connected various ones together. Its three bottons, each pair of pins for a button. Now to start on a new CP. Whee!
