I'm hoping someone here has a Dynamo Showcase cab with a 34" Sharp Image monitor. If you do I need a couple of pictures of the monitor chassis and the neckboard connector. I have one of these cabinets and someone has removed the chassis from the monitor. So far I have managed to determine that the heater in the tube works and it looks like the cathode circuts are okay. But the guy who was testing my tube said it looks like someone had removed the socket that is supposed to be on the end of the neck so we're not sure which pins are which. Can anyone help me out?

Hey, I just got one myself in cherry condition, so everything is intact. I don't have access to a camera right now though, but I DO have the service number for Sharp Image on the middle rear of the chassis. Give them a call...I also see a sticker on mine that says "34" KTMF PHILLIPS"...whatever than means. Anyhoo, here's the number...

Just tell whoever answers that you have a question about arcade monitors, then hit whoever comes to the phone next with the technobaubble.

P.S. Maybe we can help each other out, cause this is my 1st cab, and I'm lost in space! I'm still trying to figure out how to wire the AC for the monitor and if I need/have an isolating transformer or not :o! THANKS!!

Sounds like you have a different monitor than I do if you have a Phillips tube. I have been talking to one of the guys at Sharp Image and they've been very helpfull so far, but what I need to see is what the neck board connector for one of their Sony tubed monitors looks like. The guys who tested my tube told me that the socket that is usually on the end of the neck is missing, all that is there is the pins. I'm trying to find out what this socket looks like.
As for your cab, according to Sharp Image you're not supposed to need an isolation transformer with their monitors, but I'd add one anyways, the cost is cheap.

Interesting...it's like the Autobot symbol and the Decepticon symbol in one.

Well right now my cab is in a bunch of pieces as I try and snake it through the house to the game room, so no pictures at the moment *lol*

Mine is in sections at the moment also...hope to get a digicam later this week. I'm just about done re-wiring the controls to a MiniPAC and and sweet talking myself into finishing PC and getting the apps to run correctly. Are you using the "Chou" power supply to power your monitor? I'm considering using it to also power my 360's....what do you think :-\
-
Right now my monitor has no chassis, but when I get one I'll likely just use the wiring that is already in the cab to power it.

Grauwulf,
Are you running an Arcade VGA card? And if so, are you having issues with keeping the v-hold stable? If not, what is the trick?
-
Right now I have no way of using my monitor at all, since I don't have the chassis for the monitor, just the tube. I had originally posted to see if I could find someone who has one of these cabinets that I could borrow their chassis for a few days to test my monitor before ordering a new chassis. Or to even be able to take a look and record numbers and take pictures of the chassis in thier cab. Still no luck yet.
