OK so I've got the isolating transformer and there's a few wires etc and a terminal block with a few wires going in and out of it. I've also got a power supply that I am going to use to run the audio amp in my cab. It's just a normal power supply I think it has 8 termianls and a pot at the top ( don't know what that's for ). Terminas are
AC/ AC/ FG/ +12V2.5A/ 5V1A/ GND/ GND/ +5V15A.
My question is, the audio amp needs a 12V power supply so thats fine I can plug one wire in to the 12V terminal and one wire in to ground. There are 2 wires coming from the isolating transformer set up that are supposed to supply power to the power supply. Which terminals do I attach these wires to? And does it matter which way round they are ( I guess it does ). I have a multimeter if that helps.

Remember that the AC power going to your switcher power supply should NEVER come from the side of the isolation transformer that goes to the monitor. You would lose the isolation if you did it that way. You can pick up power from the primary (input) side of the isolation transformer which would be ok.

I always just make sure that I use the same convention on the top and bottom lugs of the iso transformer. For example, if the hot wire (black) runs into the bottom left lug, then I use the top left lug as the hot wire.
Also take note of the current draw of the audio amp you are using. Your power supply is rated for 2.5A on the +12V line.
