Hi
My cabs t-molding has some minor scratches and instead of re doing it all I was wondering if I could sand them out with a light paper like 250? any suggestions?
thanks

a 400 grit wet sand followed by a buffing should do it--you could also just try the buffing by itself with some buffing compound.

Hey
Ok bare with me.. ehehe... I can go buy sand paper at the store, no problem. But what is buffing compound? where would I find that? which section of a store? any certain kind I need to get? how is it applied.
thanks
JIM
Silly newbie I am!! ;D

You can get it at an auto parts store. Don't know how well this would work on plastic though.
T-molding is cheap enough. If the scratches bother you that bad it would be quicker and easier to just replace it.

You could give Novus a try:

I have the novus 1 2 and 3 polishes and they work GREAT!!!!!! Just follow the instructions. Nothing complicated but there are some steps you need to do to get the best results. If it is a small scratch or scape you can use 2 + 1 if it is deep you need to use 3 first than 2 than 1. I use them for my acrylic overlay and the marquees i get from ebay. Great Stuf much recommended.
You can buy it from ebay $6.99 plus $2.50 shipping for 2oz bottles of 1 and 2 and a sample packet of 3.
