Has anyone ever seen a hollow allen wrench?
The OEM Tron handles have allen screws that have a little nipple in the middle to prevent them from being removed with a normal allen wrench.
I've got a DOT CP coming, that I'm sure I'll need to clean the handle up on, and would prefer to be able to remove the screws without resorting to using my "Screw-out".

I'm guessing they aren't allen screws, but are actually torx screws because Happs sells tamper-resistant torx bit sets.

They are tamper proof (by name only) torx. You can actually get sockets to fit these just about anywhere, Even Home Depot has them.

Not ideal but when I haven't had the right size I have been known to flatten the little nipple with a nail + hammer. Then a normal allen wrench can be used...

www.therealbobroberts.com sells a reasonable set, also auto parts stores or tool stores.

btw, I bought two sets from big lots (really) for about 1.50 each for a set of like 8 sizes (but I've only used 2 or 3). They are bit based (put in a screwdriver)..
but very happy with the purchase and use them often.

My Home Depot didn't have them, infact the so-called 'experts' there didn't even know what I was talking about. I tried a local mom and pop hardware store, and they knew exactly what I wanted and showed me where they were. I've found that for odd things like this, the smaller hardware stores are a safer bet over Home Depot and Lowes...

Home Depot and Lowes sells what they can sell a lot of...
they don't cover local items (extra items used for what was used when they built all the buildings in your area... like brass screws for old door knobs that where popular at the time the area neighborhoods where built).
BUT... they are good for what they have..
and I still havent' found much good advice there... I've only find people who know where their products are stored.

They are for security bolts. Bob Roberts sells them. He has the whole set for about $7.00.
You can find them around at flea markets and such.

I got my set at The Real Bob Roberts. "Security Torx" is one name I've heard used to identify them.

I have a few sets from MAC tools, but curiously they skipped a size I ended up needing to remove the floorboard from my sitdown Spy Hunter. At Lowes I found a Stanley 4 piece Torx screwdriver set that are drilled for security Torx screws, though they're sold as standard Torx screwdrivers. Home Depot likely carries the same set.
