At least the cab looks good. If you undo all the damage the seller has inflicted it might turn out nice  ::)

BTW I was looking for a Galaga Marquee and found one in this auction (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=4315&item=8102182167&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW).

Ehm ... you cut half of the marqee away dude!  ::)

AWESOME MAME ARCADE MACHINE! CAN PLAY 4000+ GAMES

Hmmm !!  >:(

Has anyone here actually played all 4000+ games that MAME emulates ?

Notwithstanding, are all 4000+ games even playable yet? Most of those CHD games take at the very least, a processor that has yet to be developed/released to the market.

His claim to 4000+ "playable" games seems a little like misrepresentation in my book.  ;D

???Doesn't anybody else find it odd that he used a Pole Position Cabinet (keeping the original artwork and bezel) but didn't even incorporate a steering wheel to play racing games?

Hee hee.

Why is it that all the crap, "Hotrod/X-Arcade bolted onto a driving cab/dart machine/photo booth" Mame cabinets have brand spanking new "gaming" computers in them.

Then at the same time all the good looking Mame conversions have Pentium 2 or 3 systems?

Oh wait, I know why, the people who build the good looking machines know what they are doing, and the people who build the crap just throw money at it and hope that it will come out looking good.

I guess the idea is to be able to play regular PC games on it too. Of course it's not authentic, but i doubt a rubber mat on a CP is authentic :P

Unfortunately, those are (at least) two year old specs (hardly spanking new). So, I doubt you could even play recent regular games on it. Don't see how to use the keyboard and mouse together either. Or even how to use the keyboard  ??? So it fails as a proper gaming PC too.

2.anything ghz is still available brand new, so I call it new. ;D

You got me on the rubber overlays!  ;) I just use them sometimes because they are cheap, easy to work with, hide almost ANY mistake, and last FOREVER.

That cab is nasty.  The keyboard stuck to the front kills it for me.  :o  He didn't even bother painting the wood around it   LOL  Some people are just lazy.

That Galaga marquee is not original either.

What do you mean "not original"?

I think he means it's a repro.  Which it indeed looks to be.

Well, maybe it's a repro, I don't know how you can tell for sure from a small picture. In fact I'd rather hope that that was a repro and not an original.

I thought the most obvious problem was that  a large chunk was cut off all the sides. Which I thought was funny in combination with the statement that the marquee was without "chips or cracks".

I guess when one needs to explain the joke the joke is lost  completely :-[
