Title: Where should I start?
Post by: GameDork on April 24, 2004, 04:47:06 pm
I have this Pacman cabinent I'm restoring. I have sanded all the gray paint from the artwork and I wanted to repaint this.

I have done more sanding since the pic was taken.

Any have an hints?

Do I mask off the graphics and do the yellow first or vice versa?
Roller or spray?
Do the small stuff with a artbrush?

Roller the cabinet yellow.

As for the small stuff, I would PERSONALLY use a small brush, but that is because my airbrush skills aren't too hot.

Brushes and roller for sure, get brushes with nylon bristles and a small roller, paint from top to bottom. Take your time and you should be all set.

Dig it?

I have started now. I have masked off the graphics with acetate stuck on with 3M photo adhesive (This stuff rocks!) and am painting the yellow right now.

later, I will mask off parts at a time and just do that one piece ( i.e. the word "PAC" ) until I am finished.

I will post some pics here as soon as I get it cleaned up.

Thanks to everyone for your replies.
