Title: Wells-Gardner 19K4900
Post by: rchadd on April 23, 2004, 06:33:05 pm
I am looking for some technical documentation on WG 19K4900

Hope somebody can point me in the right direction. Been looking on WG's website but nothing available. Just bought myself one on ebay and not sure how to connect it up and voltage specs etc.

cheers.

Visit www.mikesarcade.com and click on monitor manuals.

cheers sucessfully downloaded the manual as PDF.

i see that the Supply voltage spec is 108VAC-132VAC 50-60Hz

I am in UK (240V 50Hz) so assume that i will need some sort of power supply for this monitor or would a step down transformer do the job?

The manual says I need to use an isolation transformer. I assume that this is in addition to any step down transformer.

Hope some one can clarify.

A step down transformer will work as an isolation transformer.

Do you think that one of these will do the job of a step down and isolation transformer for powering my arcade monitor?

Not alone it won't. The one you linked to can be considered a giant resistor. In other words it's just dropping voltage. It's not a real transformer. This unit would work if you also get a standard Isolation transformer with it.
