The MameRoom website has been redesigned.  Please take a look and provide feedback.

To be perfectly honest I liked the old design better.  This one is a bit cluttered.  Also the fact that it won't let you maximize the window is extremely annoying, especially considering that it resizes the window too small. (I have scroll bars on either side.)  Now if it was spaced out over a full screen instead of being scrunched into that little space then it would be great.

Thanks for the feeback Howard...I'm getting away from posting news on the site...and others have prodded me for "copying" the old design off of other sites such as MameWorld...As for not being able to control the browser, I do understand that alot of people don't like it when they don't have control, but this is one way to ensure the content on the page looks exactly like I want.   I'm sure if I get alot of complaints, I'll change it...not that your opinion isn't valued...it is.

I've made a few more modifications to eliminate the scroll bars and navigation buttons....

Take one more look...see if it grows on you with the new changes.

I like the vector background...and a blue look and feel is always a plus for me ;-)
bUt I also agree with Howard...if you run your desktop like me at 1600x1200 the fixed size makes it a bit small and cramped looking. Also the window does not center itself correctly in the middle off the screen on my machine... great cab!  :D

Well the absence of the scroll bars is nice, but now I can't see the whole page!  What you not taking into account is people that crank up the font size Like I do.  Everything is literally right against each other and when I reduce the font size everything is so tiny (I keep my monitor at 1024*768 or higher)

I'm not trying to be pushy, it's just I like the content of your site and with the current design a lot of people are going to be turned off by it.  Fixed window sizes are a big no-no, only porno pop-ups use them. ;)  The asthetics are great though, they just need to fill the whole screen.

Ok, you got me with the porno-pop up....I'll change it today (Never did consider larger font sizes)...thanks for the feedback.
