I read in the supplied documentation about the calibration button, however being my smart self I didn't actually read HOW to calibrate them. I have either misplaced the handbook or thrown it away. My question is do you do anything special when you switch it into calibration mode?
I switch the switch into calibration mode and the screen on the TV turns white, do I shoot at it, move it around? do a full circle? do a X on the screen?
I load Mame32, run Area51 and the crosshair sits in the middle of the screen, not moving at all.
Thanks for any help and sorry i am a nincomput.

My understanding is that you don't need to calibrate at all if using the TV guns as TVs only have one resolution and refresh rate.
However if you do calibrate, you turn on the switch and then do a '+' pattern on the screen. It should be a few inches away and you should go beyond the edges of the screen. It determines the resolution from this, but since your TV only has one resolution, it's not needed.
If the crosshairs are just sitting in the middle when you fire, it's probably the result of a bad calibration, and you'll need to do it again.

I had to caliberate my light gun for my TV. The aim was way off. Perhaps it was just me.. Either way as GamingGreg said is the way to do it. I normally aim for something on the screen afterwards just to make sure it's decent.

I just wanted to elaborate on the calibration thing again. After turning on the switch you hold the gun in the center of the screen, and then hold down the trigger while doing the '+' pattern. Return to center and then release the trigger. There should be a small video on the CD that came with your gun, that shows you this. Good Luck and kill a few aliens for me!
