I have just started researching builing my own arcade machine and and looking at different cabinet styles. I saw on on ebay at this link:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=13716&item=3287668658&rd=1
and really like the style of the cabinet, sadly though I cannot find any plans for a cabinet in this style? Anyone know where I can find them?

I think Hulkster is building something similar. Maybe he has some plans drawn up.

Maybe able to help a little, as I have always wanted to build something similar.
It basicially is a "more mame friendly" design of a Dynamo Showcase cabinet. People on this board have certainly looked in to it before, and from memory a guy buy the name of Taz? (something) was able to build his own version of this cabinet with his own dimensions. I think he even posted his plans... but from memory the dimensions were not true to the Dynamos. (sorry Taz if I am wrong)
But anyhow this may help if you want to recreate the Dynamo dimensions (actually there was a PDF available somewhere of how it was put together with out the dimensions). With a little estimation and these dimensions you may be able to recreate a close to authentic Dynamo, but if it helps some one on here from memory picked up a used cabinet for about ~800 US dollars. Maybe a bit cheaper considering it has the massive screen and all, as I personally don't know how much cabinets are in the US, can be a bit exie in Australia.

Hello Alex,
I'm glad to help you.
On your first question, the cabinet size is the same for each monitor.
On your second question, no sorry the cabinet does not break down any further than the front and back section.
On the third question, As to the size
The back unit is 79 inches tall and 36 inches deep from where it connects to the front unit to the back wall. These are the measurements you would use to see if you can fit it through a door way. It's 52 inches wide.
The Front unit is 47 inches tall and also 36 inches deep from the coin door to where the front and back join. It is also 52 inches wide.
The over all floor space a unit can take up is 52 inches wide and 72 inches from the coin door to the back wall. There is also a 12 inch insert that you have the option to use that extends the front from the back unit by 12 inches which increases the overall foot print to 52 X 84.

Actually now that I think about it click on my username (zzsprade) and look through all the posts I have replied to. I am sure I have some on the Dynamo Showcase that may lead to some dimensions/plans etc.
Good Luck!

Actually mate don't bother trying to go through my old posts. I just did (took a trip down memory lane) and found only pictures and no plans (heaps and heaps of broken links). If I ever find my old back up disk I can possibly pass on what plans I used to have from these guys. They have gone down without a trace.
On another note it was Taz (maybe Pm him) and there was someone else that also had one warbot? or warborg?
Good luck again!

guy: ive never seen those cabs for sale on ebay, they only had them at their site.... www.dreamauthentics.com and they are like 6000 bucks!!! no lie. but anyway, sorry dude, i dont have any plans. i never drew any up, just kinda took one piece at a time. **now that i think about it, i might have some general plans, but they wont be as specific as you will probably like, but it might help** the best i can offer you are several links of showcase cabs that you can look at....thats what i did, just look and draw and then estimate some measurements, give or take a few, thats about right, maybe a little more....and voila. heres the link to my post in the project announcements
http://www.arcadecontrols.org/yabbse/index.php?board=10;action=display;threadid=16166
here are some links to other projects that might help

i know those may not be super helpful, but if you just take the pics, and cut and paste them onto a word doc, and print them out, it might help to see them all there to get an idea of what you want to do. also, look at that dreamauthentics site...it has this 360 degree rotation thing for that mega cab that you can look at. it also has a few dimensions, as far as height and stuff, might help you a little. good luck man.

What are your plans for the display Hulkster? Most similar cabs use a 33" monitor but they are pretty price at least $1000, you can get a nice TV for half that. Also my local arcade has quite a few of these cabs wonder if they would mind if i came in with a tape measure, :)
