Title: Building a playstation-sega genesis arcade
Post by: the3eyedblindman on April 18, 2004, 12:41:28 pm
I was planning on building an arcade out of a 25 inch tv, a sega genesis, and a playstation.

I have two questions.

1. Does anyone know any webpages or how to hack a sega genesis controller, I couldnt find any, and I dont want to try it and ruin it. (Preffereably the six-button, but 3 will do).

2. Do normal playstation controllers work on the newer "Ps one". The ones with no analog or analog sticks.?

Please reply soon, thanks.

Any Playstation controller work on any model of Playstation. They are all backward compatible.

You will wire up the controls for the genesis the same way with the playstation. A common ground point and a wire to each button contact.

The original 3 button genesis controllers are REALLY easy to hack, I've done it.  I wouldn't worry about it.
