Title: Dual monitor support help!
Post by: StoneRose on April 18, 2004, 09:43:24 am
Hi,

I am currently building a jukebox with dual monitors (using virtual music jukebox). I have 1 12" tft touchscreen for the selection screen and another 12"tft (keycorps) for the video screen...

Now if anyone knows about the keycorp tft screens they come with there own graphics card and this cannot be changed you need this to run the monitor. This is where the problem lies... The screen works perfectly on it's own but i can't for the life of me get it to work dual screen!

However if i insert a standard graphics card with a normal monitor it works a treat dual screen..

i have all the drivers for the keycorps, if anyone has used these tft's before or dual screen any help much appreciated..

cheers

The probleme with dual screen setup is that the driver of the VGA card has to support this function... today's card almost all do but some older or apparently those you have might not support dual screen.

By default the pci card only switches on the TFT screen. On the original drivers disk were some utilities to enable you to switch on the crt output as well (sm.com).The following exert from the users manual gives a brief description.Unfortunately I don't have a copy of the original disk.

If you want a copy of the user manual it can be downloaded here:

http://www.bunkermentality.net/k57manual.pdf

"Analogue CRT Interface
The analogue CRT interface is the standard interface provided by all video
cards. It supports all standard VGA modes in addition to some extended
modes. By default, this interface is not activated. The interface can be
activated by running 'ct.com' or 'sm.com' provided on the K57 utilities disk.
