It's not Spam.  Spam is commercial in nature.

No, this is the work of a --missioncontrol--.

However; if your newsreader supports scoring articles, there is a fix.  If it doesn't; STOP USING OUTLOOK.

I use Xnews, but don't read newsgroups much.  How do you score those random messages?  Thanks.

Put this in your score.ini file

Quote
[^alt\.games\.mame$]
  Score:: -9999
        Expires: 5/15/2004
        NNTP-Posting-Host: .*usf\.edu/h=:T,

    % generated by Xnews on Thu 15 Apr 2004 01:57:19p
    Score:: -9999
        Expires: 5/15/2004
        XRef: microsoft\.test
[^alt\.games\.mame$]
  Score:: -9999
        Expires: 5/15/2004
        NNTP-Posting-Host: 218.92.164.134/h=:T,

[^alt.games\.mame$]
   Score:: -9999
   Xref: ibm.software.db2.mvs
   Xref: microsoft.public.*
   ~Subject= [A-Z]

Then I filter by score: >= 0

It should filter automatically, but it's not on mine.

Ya, --missioncontrol-- for sure.  I was looking via google groups and that was only displaying 1000 messages...all crap.

I was using a pc that didn't have a news reader installed; thats why I was googling a.g.m.
