Title: Dreamcast VGA hack
Post by: b3atmania on April 14, 2004, 11:43:04 am

I've read a few posts of folks that hack the VGA box to get a 15kHz Hsync signal to their monitors. I have an 15/25/31kHz multisync monitor so I am not really interested in the hack, but wonder about something:

Will the hack output 15kHz RGB for games that don't support the VGA box? (Like the Sakura Taisen series...)

Yes it will.

Also some games can be forced to output VGA even if they don't officially support it , by using the switch method (booting up in TV mode and switching to VGA approximately when the Sega Logo would be displayed).  Works on some games but not others.
