Title: Dance Pad games in Mame?
Post by: cica on April 12, 2004, 03:30:02 pm
Hi

I was wondering if any of the games in Mame can utilize a dance pad?  I've seen a game in the arcades where there are arrows displayed on the screen and you have to step on the corresponding square on a tic-tac-toe style dance board.

Thanks
-Tom

Wont happen for a while... they are still making money (but I think they over flooded the market and this will go away soon).

But mame will not add any game where the game or the hardware is still viable money maker.

Now that stepmania supports the 3d dancers it's actually better than the original ddr games.  Because it's interface is an exact clone (right down to optional coin door support) and you can add far more songs than the ddr games ever supported.  You can even try your hand at making your own step for a game.
