Hey Guys
Finally taking the leap to make a professional looking cab (well as best I can)
Hers the cab I got going to gut it and start fresh... I was thinking Demoncade 2 but I am looking at other names if you have any good ones.. I play everything on it console, mame, psx etc.. heres a few pics. got the cab from the guy in branford, ontario Canada (cancoin@sympatico.ca).
Just to let you guys know I got it for a great price, and his selection is great! He was very helpful... a good person to deal with, well worth checking out!
Heres a pic (anyone know what game it was?? the sideart?
Anyways I am still a newbie so any advice, comments or ideas is much appreciated!! Any good plans for controls is good as well thanks!!!

SPACE DUEL

are you going to keep the sideart? it looks to be in really good shape from the pic and it looks cool as hell.
-
It is in great shape but I am going to kill it and put custom stuff on it

That's a shame. Too bad you can't work it into your design somehow.
-
Oh man, don't kill it! That art rocks!
-
That art is awesome, I highly recommend you keep it.
-
I concur. DO NOT GET RID OF THE SIDEART! No custom job could compare! If you get rid of it you'll regret it! And I'm not one who's really in to space art, but that is rockin'. And with sideart like that you could do your CP with nice combination of colors. You could even customize a new marquee keeping with the same theme.

Hey,
Nah.. it looks good in the pic but around the edging there white is chipped etc..... I am not one for space stuff though.. what would I call it??? really not into space crap. I really like Game Not Over....if I can get this the same i would.
-
Chipping can be fixed. It rocks. Please, please don't kill it!
-
If it had room for a 25" display, I would trade you even for my 2 player 6 button layout (brand new) dynamo jamma cab. I love the space stuff! But if you're intention is to cover the sideart, try to see if you can do it so that if you had a change of heart you could undo it--it is very nice....

(joins the chorus of voices saying)
It really would be sacrilege to wipe out that artwork.
I'd be willing to bet you could find someone here to buy it for more than enough to cover the cost of a similar cab with artwork that wasn't so pristine.
-
How do I fix chips? what about all the scratches in the artwork? what do i do for a marquee? i will need whole new color scheme etc.. all new name.. GALACTIC GAMES?? hheeh something?? Suggestons? if u can give me some I may save it.

Sell it sell it sell it sell it.
I don't know about uprights, but Space Duel cocktails are IMPOSSIBLE to find. A friend of mine ran across one and got it for a song, then made like 10x his money back when he sold it. Don't ruin that cab by MAMEing it. I'm not one to be sentimental about cabinets (I ripped the sideart right off a Galaxian), but that one is too nice to ruin. I wouldn't worry about trying to find boards or marquees or anything...just find a collector. Someone in the r.g.v.a newsgroup would love that cabinet, and would probably bring you a cabinet worthy of MAMEing.

Narrow it further...what part of Canada? it's a big place. It's like saying I'm in the United States. I am, but a big difference if I was trying to pick up something in California instead of Connecticut.

BEAUTIFUL cab sideart.
If it is chipped, then remove it and buy a repro of the same sideart hehehe.
Seriously, KEEP IT.
