I am new at this so bare with me. Time has come to start working on the cabinet itself. I managed to make a workable control panel and to my surprise, no mushroom cloud.
Take a look at this image. This is the side panel of my cabinet.
Does anyone see anything that they dont like or see a problem with?
The control panel will be removable and be contained fully inside the cabinet as opposed to sticking out a foot on each side.
I know people will say "Its up to you.. blah blah" but I was just wondering other peoples thoughts. (My apologies for the size)

Looks maybe a little squat and stockier than I'd care for, but the sorta old-school feel is great.

It is exactly 6' tall and 39 inches deep. I will probably make it less deep depending on the tv I am sticking in it. I am 6'6" so any shorter wouldnt be a good idea.

I think it could use an angled area below the marquee for speakers, once you find out how much space the TV is going to take up.
Unless the TV is going to be set way above where the back of the CP is, you are probably going to end up with alot of dead space along the bottom of the marquee, between the marquee and the monitor bezel.
My cab dimensions are pretty close to yours.
Here's what I did on mine.
Unfinished Cab (http://home.comcast.net/~juniordog2/photos/FRONT3-27-03.jpg)
My cab's changed alot since then, but you can BARELY see the speaker area above.
It's angled at about 30 degrees.
That way it keep the speakers a little less visible than on some of the original cabs I've seen, but eats up what would have been a BIG dead space on the run back to the monitor bezel.
You might also want to pull the bottom curve up to just under the bottom of the CP if you're going to install a coin door.
If you don't, the coin door will be right in your face while playing.
Well, not LITERALLY, but you get the idea.
The only other question I would have is whether the CP box is deep enough for the controls you are going to put in it.
I can't read the dimensions on the drawing, so be sure you double-check before you commit the design to wood.

Looks pretty much like a conbination of Defender and Centipede to me.
Since you are so tall, I would consider laying back the monitor some until you find a perfect viewing angle.

That's exactly what I was thinking.
I assumed he was going to lay the monitor back based on the bezel angle.

Double check your line of sight to the monitor. I'm 6' 4" with a 6' cab and I only noticed a line of sight problem once I mounted the monitor.
I had to recess the marquee area and make it a bit more narrow so that I sould see the whole screen.
