Title: how to change shift function for ipac
Post by: Sephroth57 on April 07, 2004, 12:06:25 pm
anyone know how to make it so pressing P1 and P2 start doesnt esc? that was a really bad design flaw for a default layout IMO cause those 2 buttons do get pressed at the same time sometimes. do i have to install the ipac program and then move the jumper to custom or whatever? cause i dont know where my ipac CD is so hopefully i dont need it

Yup! You can download that utility off of Ultimarc's site (http://www.ultimarc.com).

Just as an FYI, when I tried to remap the shift key on my IPAC/4 I realized that the IPAC/4 is almost like 2 IPAC/2's on one board, one being players 1-2 and the other being players 3-4.  That means I also got 2 shift keys, one for players 1-2 and the other for players 3-4. In order to get one button that acts as a shift key for both players, my shift button has one ground wire, one wire that goes to P1B8 and one wire that goes to P3B8 so that both fire with one button.

Did you get all that? :)

/Steve
