I've got a G07 monitor, and it's got no picture. The screen seems to be getting power, I can feel static on the screen after powering it up. I've tried tweaking the brightness on the HV transformer, but there is still no picture.
Any clues as to what it could be? Will a cap kit fix something like this?

Update,
After doing a little web research, and finding some great info pages from Randy Fromm, I believe that filter capacitor next to the HOT, may be bad. I don't hear a hight pitched whine indicating that the horizontal is working, and the FAQ I read said that on a G07, if the filter cap goes bad, there is a circuit that shuts down the HOT as an XRAY safety measure.
When the monitor is on, I can hear a very faint "click" sound about once a second. I can also see the layers of dust "jump" a little on the HV transformer.
Ken Layton, does this sound about right?

If your monitor has NOT had a capkit then by all means get a capkit installed RIGHT NOW.
