I don't post very regularly, but I do come and read often. I've read some negativity about slikstik and thought that I'd give them a positive note here on the board. I ordered my C02 unit, and it arrived only 8 days later, far exceeding my expectations. It looks and works great, and couldn't be happier with it. Just wanted to say keep up the good work. ;D

I ordered a Tornado spinner from them two or three weeks ago. Had it in my hands four days later I think. No fuss, no muss. It works unbelivably well. I don't have a problem with SlikStik.
Regarding the recent firestorm, it's my opinion that it could have been handed better by both parties.

I ordered a spinner from them, and after 2 weeks I got a phone call stating that they were out of the top I ordered. They asked if I would like to wait or get another top.
NO EMAIL.
They took the time and money to call me.
This I thought was a very good customer service.
(BTW, I didn't wait. I'll order another red top later.)

No I don't have very many posts, but I've been reading this forum for a long time..
I built my first playstation cab before my first child was born and she's six now.

I'm the 1st person to post about rough service and I have to say my experience was fine. They were out of the top i wanted (bummer) but I got a prompt phone call and my spinner within days. Works rather nicely i might add.

Slikstik co. are a great company. Only beef i had about a year ago was the 5 week turn around for the build time, but i knew that going in. lol. The panel was built EXTREMELY well and i regret i ever had to sell mine :( Had a financial slap in the buttox hit me and i needed some fast cash, so up on ebay mine went :( If i had the cash, i wouldn't hesitate to buy another one from them.

I received my spinner in one day. Had my shipment notice in less than an hour.
Agreed both parties in other thread might have done things differently for a better experience.

Since I wasn't able to give my $.02 in the last thread, I feel I should mention this now.
What crashwg did was not in the best of tastes - berating Slikstik out of anger, and saying things such as "jerkoffs." However, nothing he said was a lie.
Slikstik comes back, and publicly makes the statement, in a snyde remark, states they are canceling his order because he called them names.
Slikstik showed great immaturity, and a lack of buisness sense.
A proper reply would have been:
"We are sorry that you are having problems with our company. We are not in control of the current situation.
As stated before, if you are unwilling to be patient, we will happily refund your money.
In the future, we would prefer that you take up your problems with us before spoiling our name publicly. "
Or at least:
"We prefer not to do buisness with those that foul our name."
NOT:
"Since we are a bunch of 'jerkoffs' I cancelled your order. So there."
I have a friend that wanted to buy a slikstik. I can now not recommend them. I dislike the quality of their customer service that I have witnessed in the previous threads.

Glad I brought out all of the "lurkers" around here. ;D I wish that I worked for slikstik (I take more crap at my job I bet). Didn't want to rehash any of the other posts, but I know after working many years in retail, that far more people pipe up when they have something negative to say, rather than positive.

Are you kidding me? Seriously, there were three threads -- all locked. They were locked because your "$.02" can't possibly add anything more to the issue. It's over. Let it die. If I see one more opinion about Crash's experience with Slikstik my head is going to explode, and Saint will end up with a lawsuit on his hands after my wife is forced to clean my brains off my computer monitor.
PLEASE, for the love of God, let this issue go.

I think that disclaimer needs to be put on the side of the box, and make the emlem a skull and crossbones and..woops, wrong product! Besides, you need to practice a little duct taping ala Glenn Beck! "it's not to keep your head from exploding, it's so they can find the pieces easier when trying to put it back together!
And how slow of a typer are you that "you didn't have a chance to add your 2 cents"! LOL Are you sure you should leave the house every day without your helmet?

True, but the fact that a company delivers the promised product on time isn't something noteworthy. That's why people only report things that are below par (company saying the item is made ready for shipment and the next day that that there is no stock) or above par (like the story of Fat-Johnny where he was allowed to sent in his own sticks).
Companies don't get judged on doing the things they are supposed to do, they get judged on how they handle their business when things don't go exactly as planned.
For instance I'd rather not do business with a company that might behave erratic when something goes wrong (when the problem is their fault or even my fault).

People have already made up their minds. I wouldn't think nice words (or negative ones) would change anyones mind now.
Either people HATE Slik-Stik, or they think they're fine. There's no middle ground. A company that's abrasive and uber-defensive to detractors isn't going to find any customers sitting on the fence. Either they're going to accept that kind of behavior or they're going to find it repulsive and vote with their dollars elsewhere.
