Silver Sue is in My office!!! She's apparently a neighbor of my boss. For those of you who don't know, Silver Sue ran an arcade in Chicago that was a test bed for many "classic" arcade games back in the early 80's. She knows Eugene Jarvis (Defender and others), and got to hang out with all the cool programmers back in the day.
She was the industries' only female video arcade operator too. Another bit of trivia is that the ghost "Sue" in Ms. Pacman was named after her! She was interviewed in the April 83 issue of Joystik Magazine.
I'm going to get her autograph before she leaves.
Are there any questions that I should ask her from you guys?

Update,
She just left the office. I didn't get her autograph, However, I got her phone number. She's got a Robotron with a bad power supply, and she asked me if I could fix it for her. Eugene Jarvis himself modified the roms to put her name on the title screen.
She's also very interested in MAME, and is looking for a MAME cocktail cabinet.

Cut her head off to see if you gain her powers.

Just yell, "AHHHH, PAC-MAN ate a power pill and here he comes!" When she runs away, grab the boards and split!!
;D
That WOULD be cool to see in Mame. I wonder if other developers did this? What other modified boards are out there?

A former arcade operator that needs help with a power supply??
Methinks she was a bit sweet on ya, maybe just trying to get you to come over... :)

Not to make this sound ordinary, but what Eugine probably did was just go into the service menu and add her name to the atrract mode (its an option). But to her, its "modding the roms". ;D I'm sure the pacman mod was more legit.

I was thinking the same thing--maybe her nickname now is Cougar-Sue... ;D

You would be shocked to know how many arcade operators don't know anything about arcade repair. I knew six operators and when they had a machine go down they just picked up the phone and called the tech.

True, to many of them it is just a business and they don't care or know about the games themselved beyond the collections stats.
