Title: Memory with OS in mind

256 MB or 512MB?

I will be running windows XP.  I want the ability to run all games out to date.

I can get windows down to using about 48 Megs of memory, which means I can force mame to use the rest.  Do I really need 512?  Or would 256 cover any and all games I could play?
