I have a local lead on a working Lunar Lander. It looks pretty good, but he said there is a few scratches on the cp. I could probably sand them out when I drill holes for some MAME controls, but I am not sure if it is worth the time. I suppose I could sell the internals to make up the cost of the cab. Any thoughts?

If its a game you like to play then I say go for it! if you are just going mame it--wait for something else (cheaper) to come along--200$ is a fair price for a working machine in decent condition but you have to want it for that. It's not a great deal if its being mamed--make sense?

I would go for it , the cab sold for 1,100.00 http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3284241147&category=13716 and the Marquee , which i wanted just sold for $38,78 http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3283539507&category=13718 i have a Lunar Lander cab and i have tryed to get some parts and it seems to be very hard to find them

DON'T MAME IT!!!

I THINK this is an April Fools joke. Lunar Lander is a $1000 game, and they ALL have scratches on the control panel anyway.
Recently got to play a real one, awesome, just awesome.

Don't laugh. A local vendor that I deal with got a call from someone asking them if they would pickup a "Lunar Lander" from their house. He said "sure" and gave them $50 for it. He bought it into his warehouse and plugged it in and worked perfectly. The machine was in MINT condition since it never was on the road and the person who owned it, bought it brand new. I happen to see the machine when I was purchasing a few items from him and I said that'an interesting machine. As I've never seen that game before. He told me the story above and he told he was looking to sell the game. I said, "I'll check ebay for you to find out what a Lunar Lander goes for."
When I got back to him a few days later regarding the price he could sell if for on ebay. He told me he sold it to someone for $100. Man was he pissed when I told him he could have gotten @ $1000 for the machine. Now he's put a computer in his office and checks ebay everytime for prices before he sells anything.
True Story...

Well I'm glad I didn't get april fooled by the "going to jail for having romsets" post--but this scenario (get a valuable machine for peanuts) happens ALL the time so i don't feel gullible for giving advice.
