I've had my 3" happ blue translucent trackball up and running for only 3 or 4 days now and it's starting to sound funny.
By that I mean when you spin it realy fast it's like "wwwhhhhiiiiirrrrrrrrrrrr clickclick click click click click" all that in a matter of 3 seconds or so.
I opened it up, checked for debris, fealt the rollers where the ball touches them... I just can't find anything wrong with it??? Is it normal? Is it a new ball thing? Will it get better?

With the t-ball out, try and roll each of the rollers with a bit of speed and see if any of them make a noise - like try to flick the rollers so they continue to roll without assistance. Checked the ball thoroughly to ensure it's all nice and smooth.

You might also want to check and make sure the encoder wheels aren't making physical contact with the sensor boards.

And if they are? I've got two bent encoder wheels on my Marble Madness and I'm just about to order new ones b/c they are driving me nuts. Any way to fix them? I tried bending them, but I can't seem to get it 100% right...

If they ARE then you might have to get creative to space them in some way where that doesn't happen.

when I spin my trackball really fast north/south it sounds like
"I'dbuythatforadollar"
and if I spin it really fast left/right it sounds like
"takemywifeplease"
mabe mines just old and crusty as that doesn't really sound funny to me...
