Title: My Cabinet = R.I.P.
Post by: Brad Lee on March 30, 2004, 04:58:02 pm
But not completely..

Had to clear out my computer room 'cuz we're getting some work done and it'll be turned into a nursery. So I had to move downstairs.
To the basement.

Where, besides spiders & the occasional snake, there is NO ELECTRICiTY! :o

On the plus side however I will be getting some new brekers installed and all new electrical, as well as some much needed downtime to actually "finish" things up, get some artwork done, work on the other CPs, etc

As long as we're all playing English professor, it should be 'through the house'.   ;) Also I agree that an extension cord is your friend.

with 200ft - you can easy plug it into the outlet the absolutely furthest from the basement as possible.  I suggest you bedroom barthroom outlet.

the only other viable option is to create many many tiny treadmills and generate the electricy yourself by putting those spiders to good use.

If your wife is anything like mine when she was pregnant, it doesn't matter what you do, you are going to piss her off.

It gets worse later, and there are two of them.....

Oh I remember when my wife was pregnant, that was what gave me the drive to turn a dank and stinky basement into the coolest room on the block.  I just had to get away and I figured that she was to big to get down the stairs
I figured that if I stayed out of her hair then she would not be pissed off at me for NO reason (cause they will find something, TRUST ME!!).

Needless to say, the basement was converted, my son is now 2 years old and likes to play with the video game buttons and he really seems to enjoy the sounds of the games.  I think he may be hooked!!

Good luck with the baby and the basement!!

spiders, snakes and no electricity!?  Do you live in a cave?

Seriously though, it seems like a perfect opportunity to turn that cave into a great game room.  You'll need a game room when the kid gets older anyway.
