Title: Glass Scratching from Monitor Bezel
Post by: 2600 on March 30, 2004, 01:58:38 pm
Has anyone had a problem with the monitor bezel scratching the glass that goes on top of that? My glass has a scratch on it, I've taken it out a couple of times not thinking the plastic would scratch it.   I'm interested in seeing what others have done to fix that problem.  I'm thinking some sort of black felt or something allong the edges.  Also, because of the glass problem I wanted to tac down the Bezel so that it doesn't slide when taking out the glass so that the monitor doesn't get scratched.  Anyone recommend anything for that?

On my cocktail i just used some black weather stripping. Worked out pretty well, saved me from even haveing to use a bezel.

It's impossible for plastic to scratch glass.  It's nowhere near hard enough.  Something else must have done it, say something on the plastic or imbedded within it.

Steel won't scratch glass either.  Glass is actually harder than steel, but of course glass will shatter.  But you can take a shard of glass and etch steel.
