Title: Side Art Printing
Post by: steve_pss on March 29, 2004, 12:57:46 pm
Anyone know a good online source to have custom side art printed on self adhesive vinyl?

Couple more
If I went raster would 300 DPI suffice for a 3'x6' side? Yes I know vector makes sense but after years of using photoshop, illustrator makes NO sense at all to me.

What file format is considered the norm?

Do they use a large format ink jet? I was wondering about color seperation at such a large size..

Try these guys --> http://classicarcadegrafix.com (http://classicarcadegrafix.com)

I ordered a custom marquee print from them, and to say that I was blown away by the quality when it arrived would be the understatement of the year.

Contact Scott at www.mamemarquee.com . He can print oversize artwork.  He printed my 48x19 image with no problem and he does excellent work.

Tell him Kostas sent you.

Oh, right.  Sorry.  Didn't notice that little limitation.  I notice they have different width limits depending on what you want printed.  Bezels, for example, can be up to 26.5" wide.  I wonder what the scoop is.

He's got the cheapest marquee prices I've seen ($19.95). At that price I can get several and swap 'em when I get tired of one or the other. How's the quality compared to others?

I have had my CP over lay, my marquee and side artwork printed my mamemarquees.com and they look fantastic and were at agreat price! Also the guy over there is an extreme pleasure to work with. I cannot recommend a better printing service! Take a look at Springfield Mame in the projects forum for a great example.

I argee with "dmsuchy"  Mamemarquee's = Excellent Service.  Scott is a great guy to work with.  I sent him my order of, 2 - 48x19 - Control panels to be printed, 1 - 8.5x 26 - Marquee and 2 - Different sets of 11x30 Side Art, to be printed l last Monday.  And the printing was completed and mailed on Wednesday.  So I should getting my printed artwork back in a few days.

I will post a pic of the final product when I get them.

Forgot to add, his prices are very good.  And when I contacted others regarding my printing requirements.  Most could not print the sizes I needed and the ones who could where going to charge me almost double the price I paid.  So I have nothing but high praise for mamemarquee.

Actually Scott and I emailed back and forth a couple times today and I'll be giving my business to him. I need to scale back my artwork a bit as full side art isn't an option anymore. I changed to plan B which is put a quality black paint job on the sides and use partial side art. Back to the drawing board!

Looks like that's where I'm going for artwork. Now I just gotta dream up the desgn...

Oh... dmsuchy... that cabinet is great looking! Anyone who puts a bigger-than-life McBain on the side of their cabinet is waaaaaaayyyy OK with me!

Luv the marquee more than the sides!
