I've got a cabinet with a 19 inch "Eygo old style" monitor as per the pics on Bob Robert's web site. I replaced the caps, but it still has a hold problem. I can adjust the monitor so that everything looks good, but then when the video mode changes, the vertical hold is lost. It can be recovered by adjusting again, but every time the video mode is changed (i.e., go back into the front end), the hold is lost again.
Any tips for how to deal with a monitor with a very sensitive hold problem?
Should I just give up and replace the chassis? I may just replace it with a refurb Wells Gardner and worry about replacing the chassis later.

Did you do a full capkit or just change a few caps?

I replaced nearly all of the electrolytic caps. Exceptions would be caps that didn't appear (to me) to match what Bob Roberts said should be there (it is a relatively obscure chasis), and the large filter cap. I suppose you are going to suggest that I finish the job, right? Just the electrolytic, or do I need to hit the disk caps as well?

There are some variations on those old chassis and some values and/or positions may be different than the provided instructions. Replace the other electrolytics except for the large main filter cap. Don't change any ceramic disc or mylar caps. Doing capkits involves only electrolytic capacitors.
