Title: The day has arrived...cab is for sale
Post by: Frostillicus on March 27, 2004, 09:44:25 am
I'm selling my cab.  :o  I need the room in my apartment and I think I just want a small caberet model next time.  Anyway you can check out the ebay listing HERE  (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3283792190)if you are interested...I think the price is fair considering.  Just throwing this out there in case anyone is interested.

One of the nicest cabs on here.  I hope whoever buys it appreciates what they're getting.

:'(

I agree with snaaake - it's a sad day when a cab like that goes up for auction...  esp. if I can't afford it!  ;D

definitely if you can deal with the price ebay extracts, you'll get more response if you reference your site on the auction page, the pictures there are awesome...  (hopefully the site isn't going away with the cab??)

I'll keep the site up.  Based on the feedback I get, it seems to help some people when they are new to the hobby and just surfing around checking out dozens of cabs.

We'll see if it sells.  All I want is to basically recoup the expenses but I put a much bigger BIN price than I figure it could realistically go for.  If it doesn't sell this round I'll probably put it back up with a lower BIN.  Problem is I'm biased as to its worth ;)  (so I"m overestimating it, surely)

That BIN price is very acceptable!  I wouldn't lower it if it doesn't sell the first time.  Sadly most of the Mame cabs on Ebay are ridiculously overpriced but yours isn't.

You must be gutted Frosty  :(

I don't think the BIN price is too high either, based on the price of commercial not to mention inferior cabs...

Do you still intend to offer your services for cabinet artwork? I was going to give my artistic abilities a try but if that didn't work I was planning on heading over to you to doll up my cabinet (if I ever get started/finished, of course).

That is an icredible one of a kind cabinet!!  I've been a huge fan of it since the first time I checked out your site.  That cabinet is worth every penny of the BIN price,  unless you want to sell it to me much cheaper!

Yeah I knew it,ebay is so damn retarded where buyers think they can buy something like that for $1500.I mean jeez...I could bet none of them really knew the actual value of parts alone and gazillion hours it took to finish the cab.

What the hell... :P

For what it's worth I would include better and bigger pics as well as a video of the cp rotation next time.  $0.02

I agree, especially a closeup of the CP art.  Dpn't be afraid to 'toot your own horn' a little more either.  This is advertising after all.

I think I would keep the cab if I was you if it doesn't sell this time. I for sure wouldn't  let it go for less than $3000.
