I suppose I should announce this "new" project, although it is not new, the Control Panel certainly is, I am also going to reburbish the cabinet. I have not publicly announced this one previously.
This cabinet originally was called "Mimsy's Multicade", but I chaned the name to "Arcade City" after an Arcade here in Naples, FL that existed in the 80s and I rememeber spending many a quarter playing the games there in my youth. :-)
I have been working on this since April 2000! I was not pleased with it at all. A Friend of mine rebuilt the control panel to make the area much larger, Plenty of space for a Happ 3" Trackball and future Spinner. I am very pleased with the result.
It is a Dynamo HS-5 Cabinet that orignally was a Dedicated Double Dragon II (bleck) It was going to be retrofited by a local route operator until I was able to buy it from him.
The Monitor is a Wells Gardner U3100 SVGA, that I bought for this project back in 2000. It works pretty well for the games, but Windows is another story.
The cabinet has contact paper on it right now, I am going to change that to black paint (again) and Heavy Black Vinyl on the Control Panel.
Thought I would post this to announce it's existance, and I will have more pictures when the project is Complete "AGAIN!"

I have been painting the new Control Panel and I have removed most of the Woodgrain Contact Paper to repaint black. I have been waiting for happ to ship the new Tmolding and Heavy vinyl that the control panel will get for a covering for some time. Wish me luck (I'll need it ;))

My Heavy Duty Black Pica Vinyl arrived from Happ Controls today! Here is a picture of the completed control panel covered in it. I still have to finish repainting the sides. By the way, the Marquee is going bye bye soon, it looks ratty, I had printed it on a Inkjet printer on Transparrency sheets. Served well for the time I had it.
will update when I get further along.
BTW, my webpage has had DNS issues all this week. they should be resolving properly now, sorry about that.

Well I can allways get additional control panels from my friend, they fit with a 2 post method so they are easy to replace. Maybe I will on the next revision.
