Title: horizontal factor

Time for another newb question. :-[  Once I identified the video card - its a Radeon 7000, I then went to install the driver for it from ATI.

Once I restarted I had a split screen.  Now, I have a horizontal switch on the monitor and adjusted that, but it still wouldn't fully come around.  When the computer starts up before windows kicks in it is full screen.  

Tried to reinstall and got the same problem. :'(  

I'm hoping that someone has some advice so I can return to gaming nirvana.

I have no idea if this is your issue, but when you mix up the sync polarity on an arcade monitor and run negative sync signals on the positive sync input, you get a similar horizontal split.

I believe I had the same problem with the ATI 7500. It was a while ago, but I think I removed the the driver while in safe mode, then reinstalled the latest driver from ATI.

I ended up not liking the way S-Video looked on a TV, so I bought an Arcade monitor and now use an Arcade VGA card from Ultimarc. Never been happier.

Hi - thanks for your responses.  

As for the polarity inputs, I'm not sure if that is the problem because the monitor is fine when I run in safe mode or when I boot up.

Does anyone have any other ideas?  Any utilities out there that would assist in adjusting the horizontal?

Ahh I miss my killer instinct cab hey how's it going? I left you a email. I was just about to toss the arcade vga drivers disk in the trash. Call the # I gave you so we could meet and I will give you the disk.
