What gives with slik stik,
they dont respond to faxes,emails,and they dont answer their phone... hell, after i called,they took the phone off the hook!! :o
now it just rings busy...
problem is here they dont SHIP THEIR ORDERS....
from their faq:
How long does it take to get a SlikStik product delivered?
Spinners, Stainless steel joystick handles and spinner tops usually ship in 2 - 4 days.
I placed my order nearly a month ago!!!!!
Ive emailed,faxed and phone them with no resolution..
if i pulled this sh*t with my customers id be swinging by a rope from the roof of my building...
my only recourse is to file a complaint with the New Jersey Attorney Generals Office. Report them as fraudulent to my credit card company and file a complaint with the better business burea..
hell of a way to run a business..

Man, I don't know what to tell you. Sorry your order is taking so long. I ordered a Tornado spinner from SlikStik on the 12th and it was in my hands on the 17th. I've gotten pretty quick replies from them by posting in the forums on their website. You might give that a try.
Have you gotten a shipping notice? I'm just wondering if this is yet another case of DHL losing something.

I've never heard of anyone having a problem with SlikStick...hope it works out. :-\

Chrisitan is usually lurking about the fourms. I talked to him on the phone once for about a half an hour. IMHO he's a really cool guy. Maybe there was some mix-up somewhere?

i would agree with you that its just a little mix up if they werent ignoring my
phone Calls,Faxes,Emails,forum posts....
ive done everything but snail mail them.
all i ordered was a SS pear top!!
i work in a precision machine shop, i could have made the thing myself,hell icould have made a few thousand of them by now.. but i figured it would be less hassle for me to simply order one and get it in a few days. guess i was BRUTALLY wrong..

I just came across your post, I dont follow this board too often, very sorry for the delayed reply. To be honest, we havent received an email or any other type on communication from you, until this.
Give me your order ID# and I will see what the problem is. We have been out of a few models of SS handles for a few weeks now due to a back order on the special 303 grade stainless steel we use to manufacturer them but I cant say for sure if the stick you ordered is affected until I get your order ID#.
If you want you can PM me on either this board or our SlikStik Forums and I will be happy to call you and give you a status on your order.
P.S. I will be sure to throw something special in with your order for the trouble.

I too am waiting on Pear-top optical joys that I ordered (on the 4th). It does seem kinda weird all the problems you've been having with slik-stik though. They have responded to all my e-mails thus far, usually in a timly manner.
They should definitly have information on their site about stuff being out of stock though. It would make things alot easier for them and us on top of just being better buisness practices. If not a note on their site about the lack of products, an un-prompted e-mail on the fact that your order is being delayed due to being out of stock.
When I order a cheeseburger, burgerking tells me when they have to cook more meat, not just let me sit and wait the extra 3 minutes without doing so... A company that I'm paying $150 to should do the same, don't you think?

The problem it would seem is the availability of stainless. Working in the same industry as they do I can definetly concur with this.
Stainless prices are thru the roof and quotes are only good for 12 hours because of the price fluctuations. Availability is obviously a problem in light of this ,so i have no doubt what he says is true.
I guess what the problem was just a basic lack of communication and active avenues to do so...
i think in light of the current Market a post to the mainpage of their website or to their forums illustrating the problems with the current stainless market and its potential effect on delivery times would go along way to preventing any future confusion with customers.Delays dont bother me,and id be willing to wait 3 months for a good quality product if necessary,but i do need to be informed of how long its going to be and certainly if there is going to be any extended delay..Disclosure is key.
When a FAQ on a vendors site says 3-5 days ,and then 20+ days pass without notice or reply, Theres obviously a potential powderkeg there.
But,thats neither her nor there and the root cause of the problem is genuinely out of their hands...and now that it has been explained to me i have a much better perspective of the situation.This being my first dealing with slikstik i had nothing to compare this transaction to.
so in closing I have my stick less than 12 hours later after our contact and they also threw me a little something for my trouble which im very gratefull for.
Thank you for the quick turnaround and getting me a suitable replacement for my unavailable stick. ;D
problem solved, and again thanks to all parties involved in bringing this situation to resolution.
