Hi all,
Could someone explain me how to map the keyboard (hacked) to the controls.
I mean , I'm planning to have 2 joysticks and six button per joystick so basically I want the mapping that I've to do , something like
Joystick 1 -UP Movement -> Up Arrow
Joystick 1 -Diagonal up-right movement -> ???
and so on.
Thansk all!

Diagonals are a combination of keypresses so pressing up and right = up right diagonal.

that means that I've to wire both key to the same contact in the joystick?

No, when you push up on a j-stick, it closes the UP contact.
When you push right on a j-stick, it closes the RIGHT contact.
when you push UP AND RIGHT on a j-stick, it closes the UP and RIGHT contact.

Or to put it another way, an eight-way stick only has four switches. Diagonals are when two switches are pressed at once.

Good point, I should have mentioned that for the time and aggravation, it will be less expensive and more satisfying to buy a KeyWiz ECO www.groovygamegear.com and have a dedicated arcade game control designed encoder in you cab/controller.

I guess I should have chimed in with that as well. My hacked keyboard gave me plenty of headaches. I recently replaced it with an IPAC. That was the best money I've spent on my cab.
