Title: motherboard, powersupply and a Monitor!!
Post by: jlampc on March 22, 2004, 01:00:07 am
I need to get your opinion. I am looking for a place to mount my Motherboard and powersupply for my pc. I have an arcade cabinet that has a slanted panel about 12 inches below the arcade monitor chassis. I was thinking of putting it there. I'm not worried about heat I can get some fans or leave the back open. My real issue is will the motherboard cause any interference with the monitor. I  don't want to damage the monitor (29 inch). Can either the powersupply or motherboard cause any em or  electrical interference to the  monitor. the PC will not be housed in a case.

Check out this link  (http://members.cox.net/mame1/hardware.htm) for really good info on positioning of the components.   You probably on't need fans if you do it properly.

A similar arrangement (http://www.mamenation.com/guts.htm) has worked out really nicely for me.  I require no additional cooling and have no interference problems.
