Title: Anyone know where to get a cheap empty box..
Post by: crashdmj on March 21, 2004, 12:21:59 am
I want to build a stand alone arcade stick (ya know like the xarcade ones though not nearly as big) and am not too handy at woodwork....so does anyone know where to get a read to drill um..box. Im thinking of throwing in a sanwa stick, some bottoms and some cover art (based on shmups...god i love them!). Just going to use some cheap gamepad for the PC.
Thanks
Derek

http://www.gamecabinetsinc.com used to have a pre-made kit, but it looks like they don't offer it anymore.

....thanks...I really appreciate the links. I had already looked into those but the XArcade would drop perfectly onto a shelf I've built into my cab.....

Thanks again though!

If you wanted to do something crazy and original you could use an old empty Ammo box. Pick one up at your local army surplus store. If you have those. I think it may just be mandatory for everyone in Detroit to be armed to the teeth.

This is actually a picture of someones computer they fit inside the ammo box. So much for comfort though.
