Title: Should I buy this monitor...
Post by: Knievel on March 20, 2004, 10:56:16 pm
Guys I've got a chance to pick up this monitor for $300 CAN:

Any opinions on this type of monitor, do the spec's make it Mame-able?

I'm pretty happy with the 20" viewing area on 21" monitor I'm using now but I think a 27" view would really be impressive :o
Still making my final cab plan so fitting it isn't an issue.

Thanks

Thanks Dude, thought I would get more opinions on this ???

Can anyone tell me if the Horiz/Vert freq's are suitable for all mame games?

I'm no expert on the subject but I don't think that you would have any problems running any games on this.  I've heard that most original arcade monitors use as low as 15 khz and I know that TVs run lower refresh rates as well.  Maybe someone else here can comment as well but I think this monitor is a safe buy. ;)
