I restaged the PC that had MAME on it, and now I'm back to the cursed problem of the trackball stuttering/skipping when it's rolled too fast. "Fast Initialization" is off in the Mouse Properties. (this is an XP machine, BTW). I'm using a 3" Happ trackball.
My questions is, can anyone throw some recommendations for what they have their Analog Controls Speed and Sensitivity set to? (Centipede seems to be the worst culprit thus far, but I haven't made my way through the rest of the trackball games yet.) I COULD sit down for hours worth of trial-and-error, but it sure would be easier on me if y'all could tell me what your settings are at.
Thanks and stuff!

Unfortunately a recommended setting is different for every single game and I believe its dependant on your Windows mouse speed settings (not sure about that one). The whole analog configuration is definately one of Mame's weaker points nowadays...
