Title: Mounting joystick on wood + metal

Hello all,

I'm considering one of the joysticks from Sanwa off this page: http://www.sanwa-d.co.jp/p_joy-stick3.htm

How are these to be mounted? I have a Moon Patrol cabinet, which has wood then a sheet of metal on top of that for the control panel. I keep reading about wood-mounting and metal-mounting, but don't know anything about how to do it with both.

Also, how am I supposed to choose among those different types? Which is best for the set up I have? My girlfriend read the japanese but it doesnt really describe many differences.
