I don't know if anyone has seen this already. I did a quick search and didn't see any previous posts. For those who like the precision of the Act Labs USB guns but don't care for the "ray gun" look, I found this DualBlaster (http://www.dualblaster.com). It's intended for use with PC first-person-shooters, but uses Act Lab parts so it should be compatible with MAME. It seems to still be in development, however.

I don't see anywhere on the site where it mentions using actlabs parts. But judging by the "homemade" look of both the site and the gun... I'd say the end product will be a gimmicky piece of crap.
The fps gun idea has been tried in the past believe it or not and it always turns out to be a bad idea. You can't aim a gun and play with the little analog stick on top of it at the same time.
Also imo a gun with a shell that looks like a child's 2 dollar toy isn't an improvment over the actlabs design. It may be a "ray gun," but you can tell by looking at it that it's high quality.
Not knocking you, I just don't see proof of any of the claims you mentioned. And I've yet to find a gun as accurate as the act-labs model.

If you look at the controls on the top of the gun, it looks like someone hacked a PS2 controller, an ACT Labs gun, and a toy shotgun together.
Just my .02. They do look very much like the PS2 analog sticks and buttons, though.

It's not even a pistol! :D

LOL, screw FPS gameplay. If the thing can double as a regular lightgun with ACT-labs accuracy (which is iffy at best), I'd be all over it. Playing Area51 and the like with that shotgun would be a hoot.
