Title: Its amd r5 430 2gb compatible?
Post by: abispac on August 17, 2024, 04:49:34 pm
So i got a couple of questions. I've been working from home  and using a laptop because I did not had a desktop to work on no to be confused with a computer desktop, I mean a desktop to place my stuff hehe.Hehehe , so anyway ibe been working on my bed for over a year an al half. Anyway, now I just bought a desktop and I want to use a desktop computer with 3 monitors , one for work, one for modern games and internet browsing and the last one for retro gaming, I'm planning using an RGB moded 13 inch tv. So I got 2 amd r5 430 2gb  but I can not find information to see if they are compatible with emudrivers, the specs say 1x DVI
1x DisplayPort 1.2, it does not say they are dvi-d so my guess is they might be compatible.
Thanks for any advice.

Simple searches for card pics show DVI-I analog pin holes present on the video head, but that doesn't necessarily mean the signals are there. Actual specs are not specific.

Let us know :)

Yeah, I remember some card had the same specs, but it was not really a dvi-i and it worked, so I gues sill give it a try and post results. its gonna take some time.

It was a pun based on the thread name.  ;)

Anyway yes it is compatible. But I would rather look for something more new. AMD R7 350X Dell OEM Low Profile card.

I highly recommend this card .

Available only as a low profile card but brackets are available for both full size cases and sff ..

Can be found dirt cheap, low power usage, Vulcan support (in Linux at least), quiet.

Puns are funny, that wasn't. Just ambiguous, confusing and annoying. I initially waited over 12 hours for you to correct it (you didn't), and it took you a week to come back and find it wasn't funny after all.

Well, its 2gb ddr5 so it should be good for classic gaming, like name and old consoles, t still have not bought a PC for this, but I'm working on that.

r5 430 works amazingly. the dvi port is dvi-i, so get a dvi vga adapter that works with it.

i use this one:
