I bought a game a few weeks ago. Standard JAMMA pinout, but there is only one button per player (besides the start button, of course.)
I don't want to buy a set of tools I may use only once or twice, so is buying a new JAMMA harness from Bob Roberts a better option?
-
What are oyu trying to do? What tools do you need?
-
Since there is only one button line on the harness, I want to add the other two lines so I can have three buttons per player. The pins are missing from the harness.
I might be able to bring it to an operator in the area and have them do it, but I would like to avoid that if possible.
Bob Roberts super JAMMA harness has up to five buttons per player. Is that for JAMMA+ ?

Peale,
just to let you know....they have them on ebay for 15 bucks on any day

If I went that route, I'd get one from Bob Roberts, who I know makes them great.
The one I have is one of Bobs caliber - made out of decent gauge wire. But it doesn't have the lines I need, so...

Hey I don't know if this is worth looking at but it seems like a great deal.

I am not sure what a tester does but it comes 3.
If it's worth it let me know I'll split it with you

Depending on the design of the edge connector, you can either solder the new lines on, or you can add them on without soldering. I have done it both ways in the past.
I THINK Bob Roberts has the little things you crimp onto the end of wires to slip them into the unused jamma harness pins.

Bob Roberts also sells individual lines to add to JAMMA harnesses. They come with the metal connector that fits into the JAMMA edge connector already attached.

It looks like the volume/test switch panels came from Golden Tee Golf kits.
