Title: Question:Old MAME Version need Old ROMS?
Post by: wakerlet on March 05, 2004, 11:40:18 am
Okay,

I've seen a lot of posts saying if you have a slow machine (mine is a P2 266), use an older version of MAME.

Question is, where do I get an older ROM set for the games?  I can't just use my .79 ROM set can I?

Thanks!!

It depends on how old the version of MAME is.  I am not sure what version started the -listinfo command, but I know from at least .36

Use ClrMAME (http://www.clrmame.com) to rebuild your .79 set into the set you desire.
