Title: U360 Ultrastik bat/oval top 9mm vs 12mm shaft
Post by: flynnb on November 26, 2023, 09:49:57 am
Anyone know if it makes a difference if I use a 9mm diameter shaft vs 12mm. T-Moulding (aka arcaderenovations) website sell a 9mm variant with their bat/oval tops. I can save some $ on shipping etc since eventually I will be ordering a total of 4.

Per the sebsite: We only sell the 9mm diameter shaft and include an M10-1.5 to M6-1.0 thread adapter for the Sanwa top. We do not stock the 12mm diameter joystick that Ultimarc uses for their bat tops.

I prefer shorter shaft since I have joystick mounted in metal (thin) rather than wood (thick). It's far better this way especially for shumps.

As for thickness it does not matter for me judging from many sticks I have in the past.

What is really important is the length of the Ultrastick shaft. If you mount it on wood you definitely need the long one.

I have mounted Ultrasticks on both metal and wood.
