Wow, just noticed it's my 20th anniversary on this forum! Time really does fly. Hope everyone's well! 😊

Noob.

Has it been long enough for us to hear the real story about the deletion your old account and every single post?
My money was on problems an employer would have with the timestamps....

Got tired of my own negativity and needed to take a break from 'pinballjim' for awhile.  To this day, people from this forum still call me Jim in person despite being asked not to and having never gone by that name once in real life.  I guess that's my price to pay.

Don't be so "cup half-empty". Rarely do we get to choose what people say about us, and people could be calling you much worse.

Back on topic, it is worth checking out rdagger's project link, and the video of their rotating "7-sided" control panel. Mostly I don't care much for rotating multipanels, trying to do everything in one package, but this one is an exception and definitely worth a look.

Based on the new moniker, you should probably be thankful they don't call you "Jelly" ;)

It's hard to fathom that it's been a 20+ year ride.  I still remember how much I disliked the way the old forum worked.  Lots of great information was posted in those early days that never seemed easy to find again :)

lol, good-old pbj used to be a staple of school lunchboxes. Until the allergy police took over. Shame because pb is a great source of protein and energy for active kids  :dunno

Happy anniversary rdagger!

Does anyone know if the “Registered Dates” got reset at some point? Mine shows 2002, but I’m pretty sure I joined up before then when I was building my first machine at the end of the ‘90s.

It’s good to see there are still a lot of us old timers that keep visiting the site after all these years.

Registration dates were reset when the member list data from the old forum software was imported into the Simple Machines Forum software.
- On those accounts, it looks like the "Date Registered" field might show the first time that the transferred user signed in to the SMF forums.
- planetjay (http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?action=profile;u=150) (usernumber 150) shows up first on the member list with January 17, 2002
- The lowest user account number that is still accessible is 1UP (http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?action=profile;u=3) (usernumber 3) who shows up with a "Date Registered" of February 26th, 2002.

The oldest post of yours that I can find in the Old Archives (http://arcadecontrols.com/arcade_message_archives.shtml) is from June 21st, 2000.

No idea how to find your signup date on the old boards.   :dunno

Thanks for the info PL1! I totally forgot about that Neo Geo cab I bought at an auction. Unfortunately it was in pretty rough shape and I didn't hold onto it very long. I suppose that was what probably got me into MAME and the idea of building my own cabinet when I stumbled onto this site. Definitely grateful for that. ;D

I've always thought you were a dick, BUT I feel you are one of the most honest people on here, you are who you are, and I respect that.
Nothing wrong with being a dick unless you pretend that you aren't one.  ;D
There's nothing worse than people who are nice to your face, then badmouth you behind your back, THOSE are the people I cannot stand. some of my very closest friends are complete ---Deutsche Frankfurters---!
