Title: CRT with split on bottom of screen
Post by: Rlynxwiler on September 19, 2023, 05:47:18 pm
Just purchased a Lethal Enforcers game and noticed there is a strip at the bottom of the monitor picture that is a little off center. (see attached picture) It's a CRT monitor.  Any ideas on what the cause is and how to fix?  Thanks!

Weird and possibly pointless question and i have no real idea what might be causing this, but on other screens that aren't showing the bullets, is the tear in exactly the same place?

gonna have to give us some more info than that...

what monitor is in there?
is it a legit lethal enforcers game board? or some china copy of one?
has the monitor been serviced that you can tell?
does the games monitor test mode in the service menu do the same thing or is it just the gameplay that does it?

was thinking maybe a k7000 that needs a 50/60 pot tweak or a change of c18/20/21 maybe a going bad LM7823...

it's lethal enforcers... so it's 15k for sure.

but without knowing what monitor it is...  :dunno could be 100 things

Make sure you properly discharge that monitor before you work on it or it will murder your family.

That capkit meme is even more hilarious because it pictures resistors.

If you don't know the difference then just send it to a a qualified tech.
