Playing OPWOLF in MAME .220 in fullscreen the game screen is off center. I can centralize it by going into: Slider Controls - Screen Horizontal Position 0.010
But when I shut down my computer and restart the screen position goes back to 0.000
I had a look in the mame .ini file for a way to permanently set the offset but I could not find it anywhere.
Is there a way to save this setting somewhere for OPWOLF. I'm not really worried about other games.
Thank you

I tested in MAME64 0.225b and it saves for me. (did not shut the computer off, just exited MAME)
The info is stored in opwolf.cfg in the cfg folder
<system name="opwolf">
<video>
<screen index="0" hoffset="-0.106000" />
Make sure the folder or file isn't set to read only.
Also each rom version of the game will have its own config such as opwolfu.cfg
EDIT: IIRC it never did save in older versions of MAME, but I have no idea what was the first version to have it fixed.
I remember wanting to fix the volume on Mortal Kombat circa v .135-.142 and it not saving.

Thank you BadMouth, you are always very helpful.
I can see opwolf.cfg in the cfg folder. But I can not see any other text. Its like I need to open the file to view its contents, but it is not a .txt file so I'm not sure how to do that.
I checked and the folder was set to read only, so I changed that and will recheck

Just use notepad(not wordpad) for all these cfg & ini files.
After read-only is removed, changes you made while in the game should show up in the cfg file.

This is a sort of bug that appears from time to time in MAME: when the cfg file isnfirst generated, it saves. All successive modifications are not. You could delete the cfg file, make all your changes and they will be stored
